Why choose Rogač?

Rogač is the oldest village on the island of Šolta, located on the northern coast of island. This charming settlement is situated in a wide, large bay that is protected from all sides from potentially negative climatological influences. The coastline of Rogač is perfectly adapted to receive countless vessels wishing to stop in one of the many coves and bays, which make up the shores of Šolta. Ancient ruins lie toe-to-toe with modern apartment buildings, providing comfortable and affordable accommodations. Plenty of man-made and wild beaches entice visitors to spend all day bathing in the warm sun, pausing to seek refreshment in the cool Adriatic.

What to do and see on your yacht charter in Rogač?

Coming to a small town like Rogač has its benefits: lots of peace and quiet and an ever-present atmosphere of serenity. On the other hand, Rogač does have several potentially interesting sights to see, like The Church of St. Theresa of Ávila from the 17th century or the remains of an ancient Roman villa. Around Rogač, there are plenty of archaeological digs covering Greek and Roman remains, as well as modern villages of Maslinica, Necujam and Stomorska, just waiting to be discovered. The shoreline of Šolta is a part of an Archipelago consisting of seven isles, which are ideal targets for boat trips. The island of Šolta has two main ports - one located in Rogač and the other in Stomorska, with excellent connection to the Croatian mainland, by regular catamaran and ferry lines.

Sailing season - When to charter in Rogač?

Summers in Rogač are characterized by high air temperatures, that regularly reach above 30 degrees Celsius. The temperature of the sea stays stable for most of the summer, not climbing above 23 degrees. The middle of August starts seeing declines in temperatures and this trend continues until January, which records the lowest temperatures at about 10 degrees Celsius. Seeing that Rogač is mostly out of the way and does not experience the increased influx of tourists in the summer months, like some mainland locations, the recommended time for visitation would be between May and August, because this period incorporates all that is Rogač: hot sun, warm sea and peace and quiet.
