Deck
Sleek, comfortable and luxurious, the Elan Impression 50 has the biggest cockpit in the class, with a U-shaped seating arrangement and a sun deck on the bow. The big swimming platform on the stern will make exploring the forgotten lagoons of some sun-kissed isles easier, because it is electrically operated. The cockpit separates the working area aft from the lounging area, with a big bimini placed overhead to protect the crew and/or passengers from any negative climatological influences. The Impression has a fixed cockpit table, with sturdy handrails and two folding parts, that create a spacious table. The Elan Impression 50 weighs 14.5 tons, which move through the water gracefully and effortlessly. The Impression managed a touch better than 7 knots close hauled and 8,5 knots at 90 degrees apparent wind angle in 18 knots of true windspeed, with the twin rudders and twin wheels being of big help with maintaining the control of the vessel. The Impression is powered by a Volvo Penta 75-hp diesel engine plus a Saildrive, which can be utilized to achieve speed of more than 8 knots of top speed with 2,800 rpm; the boat managed to cruise at 6.5 knots with 2000 rpm.
Below deck
The Elan Impression 50 offers plenty of space below deck, where the dark floor and the bright surfaces add a sense of elegance, which is also enhanced by natural light coming from the big skylight windows. The dining table can be folded and lowered, offering more possibilities for utilizing space. The designers moved the galley closer to the stern, to free up and maximize space. There is lots of work surface in the galley, also a double sink, a toploading fridge, lots of storage and drawers, a three burner stove and a kitchen vent, for reducing odours. Starboard, next to the galley, is the forward-facing chart table with the integrated radio station.
There are several costume options available for the interior of the Elan Impression 50, like the luxury two cabin option or the charter option with 6 cabins. The two cabin version has plenty of cabinets and drawers, which add to the storage capacity, with separated toilet and shower facilitates. The brightly furnished double beds are comfortable, with the owner`s suite having a private ventilation system. The six cabin version has shared toilet, shower facility and smaller beds, which are nevertheless as comfortable as in the two cabin version. There are also options for integrating bunk beds for children or additional guests. The anchor locker can double as an access point to the captain`s quarters.
